Some notes and thoughts about last night's meeting.
Jay Robinson did a great program describing the Storm

Chuck Young KE5UFZ, Robert Hall AD5YB, Ikey Roebuck W5OYK
and Bobby Copeland K5TV were chosen by lot to serve as the Nominating
Committee for 2013 Officers. I would like to call a meeting of this
group for next Thursday 10/25/2012 at 6PM in the Club House. If you can

Jacqui Letellier KF5SBO was a welcome guest and expects to
join the Club after the first of the year.
Sammy Hood KF5TV and
Greg Fitzgerald W5LMW completed the beam antenna repairs last Saturday
so it is ready for use by club members. Hopefully we will give it a
workout during the November Sweeps on Nov. 17th at 2100Z. Will you be
working the contest at the Club House?
It was suggested that the
December meeting be at a local restaurant rather than again having a
potluck at the Club House. I will try to get us a general reservation
and post the details. If there are any comments or suggestions, please
let me know.
After the meeting, I was reminded that we had not
discussed Papa Jack's Trade Day which had been scheduled for November
10th (I believe) It had totally left my mind, perhaps because I have
some personal "Stuff" going on at that time and I can't be involved. If
anyone wants to step in and make it happen, GREAT. Otherwise if it is up
to me, we will have to skip it for now. Maybe we can make it an activity
in the spring.
We had 13 in attendance.
VE testing schedule
We have moved to a quarterly schedule.
Regular exam dates will be the second Saturday
of February, May, August and November.
The NEMRA VE team offers the exams on the 3rd Saturday of the first
month of each quarter.
A group at Booneville offers it on Friday night during the
third month of each quarter. This schedule will put us offering
the exam on the same months as the Tishomingo group, but they are most
distant from us.
