The Tupelo Amateur Radio Club welcomes all
amateur radio operators and people that are interested in amateur radio
or short wave listening.
Our club is a general-purpose club that promotes
amateur radio. We also have an active VE team to help in
this.
The Tupelo Amateur Radio Club operates a 2
meter repeater in the Tupelo area. The 146.64 repeater is
located on a 500 foot tower near Verona, MS.
Tupelo Amateur Radio
Club is involved with Skywarn, the American Red Cross and
we operate several special event stations from time-to-time.
Our
club call sign is KK5K in honor of our late past President Duane
Tutor.
Our monthly meetings take place on every third
Thursday of the month at our clubhouse at the
Tupelo
Regional
Airport
in the old terminal
building. Meeting times are 6:00 pm to eat and 7:00 pm to meet. We will
occasionally have a pot-luck meal or we will cook out. Check
our calendar for more info on meetings coming up.
We usually compete in MS
QSO parties, the ARRL Field Day, and several other contests.
